What we store about you
Your email address, a hash of your password, the subreddits and keywords you asked us to watch, and — if you subscribe — a customer id issued by Polar. We never see or store card details.
What we store about other people
This is the part worth reading. To show you your mentions we store public Reddit posts and comments that match your keywords: the text, the author's public username, the score, and a link to the thread. Those authors are not our users and did not sign up here.
We keep that content only for as long as your plan's retention window — 7 days on Free, 90 on Starter, 12 months on Pro — and we check daily whether the author has deleted it on Reddit. When they have, we delete the text here too. If you are a Reddit author and want something removed sooner, write to support@socialear.app and we will remove it.
Who else sees it
Cloudflare hosts everything. Resend delivers our email. Polar processes payments as merchant of record. Reddit is where the content comes from. Nobody else, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
Your data
Ask us and we will export everything we hold about you, or delete your account and every mention attached to it. Deleting is immediate and not recoverable.
